PLANNING PROJECT

UNIT: ANIMAL WORLD

OBJECTIVE:

-      to know about animals and their characteristics.

-      To be able to communicate.

CLASS: 2nd primary

ACTIVITIES:

-      Each student has a different animal. At the end of the activity they talk about 25 different animals.

-      They do art and crafts with their animals. They do facemask.

-      They colour the masks.

-      I talk about all the animals of the class. LISTENING

-      They talk about the animal and their characteristic.

-      We do it in groups of four. But we have 25 different animals.

-      In each group they talk about their animals  within the group- LISTENING

-      Then each group talk about their animal to the resto f the class.

All the members of the group must know the four animals they got.

As my students are so Young, it is very difficult to use a genially Project. But if they were in 6th grade it could be posible to do it. Each group can make a genially with their different animals and write all the characteristics—WRITING SKILL

REFLECTION

-      It was a great experience. The students have enjoyed very much and it is a funny way of learning english. I think they learn more with this kind of activities.

  Reading strategies   It is important to know in which level you are having this kind of type of reading. For instance, it is not the same at the first level of primary as in secondary. It is essential to have a progressive level in reading. When they are too young, reading is not a good idea because they are still learning to read in their mother tongue language. CHRONOLOGY OF INVENTION OF TECHNOLOGICAL MEANS

IN OUR CLASS OF 6TH PRIMARY WE ARE IN AN ETWINNING PROJECT ABOUT MEDIA LITERACY AND DISINFORMATION. WE HAVE STARTED WITH THE TELEVISION.  BUT IN THIS PROJECT WE WILL SEE AND WORK THE CHRONOLOGY OF INVENTION. WE USE THE COMPUTERS AND I GIVE THEM THIS PAGE TO WORK ON. THE TEXT IS LONG BUT IT IS EASY TO  READ BECAUSE IT IS A LIST OF WORDS. I THINK IT IS EASY FOR THEM TO WORK ON THIS TEXT. https://www.explainthatstuff.com/timeline.html WITH THIS PAGE THEY HAVE TO USE ONLY THE MEDIA MEANS. INTERACTION

  6.4. INTERACTION I have seen some of the blogs my partners have published and I think all of them are really good. I like it the genially activity of Marta the teacher. I think it is very simple and, at the same time, very complete. As I have written in my comment to her blog, it is an activity that can be done with different themes. I am going to do with my student something similar but with the back of our Christmas holidays. The image will be done according to our students talk about. The question is: What did you do last Christmas? So, they work the past simple. If they say: I went shopping, they will put the image of a shop…. I hope my idea works.
